Tree of Life
	We received our tree of life and it is hanging in the church. Each leaf is available for purchase at $100 each which includes the engraving. If you are interested in purchasing a leaf, please fill out an order with exactly what you want engraved on the leaf and your personal information and place it in the plate with a check made out to St. Benedict’s Building Fund and earmark it “Tree of Life”.
Tuesday Evenings	Centering Prayer & Christian Meditation
	Gillian Grey is facilitating a centering prayer group on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm in the Mary Chapel. Come rest, relax, de-stress, and dwell in his presence “He leads me beside the still waters” Psalm 23.
Wednesday Afternoons	Lets Get Together! - A 55 and Older Club
	A club Florence Russell is putting together for men and women to spend time together and play cards, poker, dominos, pinochle, bunko or if you just want to be able to get together with a few friends and chat or bring your knitting, or crocheting along. The club will meet on Wednesday’s from 1pm to 3pm in the parish hall. Florence would like people to come to the initial club meeting and discuss the possibilities of people bringing snacks and drinks to each club meeting. Coffee and Tea will be provided. Talk to your friends to see if they would be interested in coming over to the church on Wed afternoons to have some fun and we will see you on August 22nd. If you are interested in co-chairing this club with Florence please call the church office.
Beginning September 2009	Learn Computer Applications - Beginner to Advanced
	Attention Parishioners Who Want to Learn Computer Applications: Fellow parishioner Frank Desko is starting a new term at his computer training center. Classes are starting the week after Labor Day. The courses offered include classes for beginners, email, internet and more advanced courses in the operation of computers, at a low cost. Come and join Frank to cross the digital divide. Classes are held weekdays at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center located on Pine Island and Sterling. For more information contact the Church office.
November 21-22, 2009	“Grand Holiday Parish Bazaar and Harvest Festival”
	The Bazaar is being sponsored by the entire parish and should be fun for all. The purpose is to bond with St. Benedict's parishioners, get to know one another, and to offer gifts for people to buy for the holidays. We will have a large selection of the following: children's gifts, gifts for parents, house wares, tools, computer items, sewing and crafts, jewelry, Holiday items, Build-a-basket (make your own basket of gifts), Old-fashioned candy/goodies and food. No entrance fee. Tickets will be sold during the event to purchase the items.
Advent	Advent Yoga
	As the holidays approach we make time for extra shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, eating and drinking. But do we make time to breathe? To rest in the Lord? To prepare ourselves for His coming? Join us as we relax our bodies and open our hearts with Advent Yoga Thursdays in Advent. Meet in the church Wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat or towel ALL ages/abilities welcome. December 4, 2009	Christmas Trees
	Christmas Trees will arrive on Friday, Dec 4th and will go on sale as soon as they are unloaded.
December 13, 2009	Greening of the Church
	Dec 13th during the 10 am Mass we will be having the Greening of the Church.
January 31, 2009	New Years Eve Party
	New Years Eve Mass will be held on Dec. 31st at 8 pm with a party to bring in the new year following in the Parish Hall. The cost is $20 per person.
